I'm not defending the discount stores when I say this, BUT..

Being pissed off for buying crappy, low quality furniture, at a DISCOUNT store,~ then *** about the quality, is just ridiculous. Quality comes with a price. Always has, always will. Hence the word DISCOUNT. That alone should have spoken for the products being sold. They buy such furniture because it isn't good enough for retail pricing. Then, they are shipped again to the discount store(s), to be offered up to you penny pinching peckerwoods. The more a product is shipped or moved about increases the chance of it being damaged.

If you want quality items then PAY the price for them! Good grief!

Always ask the retailer about the warranty information. Take a recliner for instance: Some manufacturers give a 1 year warranty for everything (frame, mechanism, cushions, upholstery)...others will give a lifetime warranty on mechanisms and frames, 5 years on cushions, etc. You can often judge the quality of merchandise based on those warranty lengths, and you'll also feel secure if your choice has an elongated warranty.

I still want to know who gave this deuche-bag a " NUMBER ONE FURNITURE RETAILER AWARD" as per his advertising.

In this current economy most people are looking for cheaper alternatives. Bob's is playing into that. I have been unemployed for 6 months and know why people may go to Bob's. Why should people be ashamed of themselves for trying to find a good deal. A lot of high end stores do sell faulty merchandise too, so people like me, who are very broke, but want a nice home, are trying to find a good price and a good deal. That is no excuse for Bob's to take advantage of that and sell unusable furniture. How dare you say people should be ashamed for trying to save money and that they should expect crap if they pay for discount stuff. That is crap in itself. Bob's is a business and as such should keep it's end of the bargain by selling furniture that can be used and honoring the warranties. I have bought plenty of discounted goods and never had major issues like the customers who bought at Bob's have. Try being extremely broke and then see how ashamed of yourself you become!!!!

Yes of course, you get what you pay for. It's funny, consumers these days for some reason believe a $499 leather sofa should be same quality as a $5,000 leather sofa. If it were the same quality, it would be the same price, lets get real.

I'd just like to say that too many people are misinformed about what bob's actually sells. I could name many different brands that jordans , cardis, B&P's sells that bob's also sells. It matters what you buy not where you buy it from. If you buy a sofa for 399, your getting a sofa worth 399. But if you actually step up and buy something halfway decent for more money then you will get alot of use out of it.

I agree with you to a point, but sometimes you get the same old made in China crap at the high end stores. That's why a lot of them go out of business these days because they sell the same thing the discount stores do at a higher price. Consumers are increasingly more savvy now more than ever.
