We purchased a Maggie sofa for our living room a few years back and we're very happy with the purchase and delivery. The cushions have become problematic, as the springs became unmanaged and the sofa is now very uncomfortable to sit on.
Since this is the central point of our living room and an important place for family and guests to feel comfortable, we wanted to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
We contacted Bob customer service and were told that we could order new cushions for $50 each. However, the lead time on the delivery would be 5 months. We are now forced with replacing the sofa with another product while storing our Bob's sofa until the replacement cushions arrive and we can sell the sofa. Obviously, we will not be purchasing the replacement sofa from Bob as our experience has been unsatisfactory.
Folks with customer service were very sympathetic however, they explained that their hands are tied and there is nothing they can do as replacement parts are not stored locally, they rely on International suppliers and have little control over delivery schedules.
I can only assume that Bob's does not rely heavily on repeat business as this is not a model that I would want to repeat or recommend to a friend.
