Incompetent Customer Service/don't buy here | Bobs Discount Furniture in Boston, Massachusetts

Bought a kitchen set that came with a lazy susan. Over next several days saw random ball bearings on kitchen floor. Lifted up lazy susan and the spinning mechanism was cracked and the ball bearings gushed all over the floor. I scooped them and took it to the store, only to be told I would have to go home and call customer service to get it replaced. Called they sent someone out to look at it a week later, who agreed it was a manufacturing defect and needed to be replaced. Here is where it gets annoying: spent 2 hours on phone with customer service being put on hold again and again with the upshot being: 1. swap out entire table set but they are not selling this one anymore, 2. get a 15% credit with warranty or a 30% credit without..but it is a Bob's Store gift card, not an actual rebate, or 3. I could contact the manufacturer myself and ask for the part because Bob's says they cannot order the part. I call the manufacturer and they say Bob's CAN and HAS TO contact them for the part because they are a wholesaler not a retailer. I call back to Bob's Customer Service and spend another hour getting someone to follow up with the parts dept and the manufacturer - they say I will hear back in 2-3 days. 10 days later I call again and spend an hour to end up in the same position - they have to check with their parts dept because they put through the part order (at least they did that much) but as a charge to me instead of under warranty. Now I am waiting to see if someone contacts me by tomorrow with the resolution and a delivery date. Horrible run around.Incompetent.

The same thing just happen to us. We bought the same table set and we now have stains on it from water.

Food dropping on it, leaves stains as well. They told us it's not covered. I explained to them that people put food on these tables and drink, that food is expected to drop alittle.

We are ready to return the set. Very upset, that the table is NOT sealed like our granite counter tops

Horriable experience with sales | Bobs Discount Furniture in Worcester, Massachusetts

I would like to express my horrible experience with your store. My initial purchase was a bed and table set. I call back to make changes to my order. I wanted to add 2 more twins beds and cancel the table set. Instead of simple order update, I got a run around and multiple sales rep promise to call me back (none call). After multiple calls... finally someone check my order and update with promise of a refund for the table. Delivery day come and they came in with the table set! I refuse the table and call up Bob but got more run around... for few days! Finally spoke with someone last week and promise the refund was issued. I have not receive the refund as of 1/10. The order was placed 12/19!!!

Bob's furniture " goof proof" warranty | Bobs Discount Furniture in Milford, Massachusetts

I purchased a dining room table and kitchen table from Bob's furniture store last year. At the time of purchase I got the hard sell for how wonderful their " goof proof" warranty was. I paid the extra money to purchase this because I have three young kids. Recently, my daughter drove her toy car around one end of the dining Table and made scratches/ gauges in it. Guardian has denied my claim for repair because they say the damage is " excessive" and could not have happened on one occasion which it most certainly did. It seems like any claim you submit to them they will have some excuse as to why it is I eligible. The " goof proof" insurance truly is the worst scam going and guardian is a fraudulent company.

Goof Proof, Maufacturer Warrenty Scam | Bobs Discount Furniture in Newark, New Jersey

Purchased a sectional with a sofa bed from bobs less than a year ago. We didn't use the sectional till one day we had family stay over as we pulled out the sofa bed all we here are screws falling out and the sofa bed fell to its side. My husband proceeded to put it back in and the wood poked out from the back of the sectional. Also the metal scraped out hardwood floors leaving indention marks. We immediately called Bob's since we purchased Goof Proof and we brought a dining room table and buffet server as well and brought goof proof insurance for each item. We we told that we had to go through the manufacturer warranty since the furniture was less than a year old. The technician came out talked to his friend and didn't even pull out the sofa bed to inspect it. I speak to the lady who then says it's not a manufacturer problem and they couldn't do anything nor could I use the goof proof because the frame isn't covered until after a year. I was not told this when I purchased the goof proof. I explained how could it not be a manufacturer problem if the screws fell out and the the wood is coming apart under the leather. We have a leather sectional in our basement from another company going on ten years old without any problems. So I'm told that the furniture that I purchased that is only Seven Months old would not be fixed nor can I used the Goof Proof which I paid for. I was promised a call back at least three times, no one calls. I called and was told there was not a Senior Account Manager on hand that could help me. This happens each time I call. So AGAIN I'm told that I'm basically stuck with a Sectional that is damaged, that was brought seven months ago and can't be fixed. On top off that I cannot use the goof proof and I have to pay extra to get the spot on the floor refinished. I will post on every board, BBB that I can because this has to stop. The false practices from this company is not right. At the end of the day, we as the customer are being cheated. Oh still have not received this callback from the Senior Account Manger so we are going to the woodbridge store and see what happens from there.
