Great intial service. Sales person knowledgeable and helpful...but all downhill from there. Upon delivery bed rails were mismatched and footboard lacquer peeling. Called and solution was for me to pay for the WRONG bed rails to be delivered back to them and in turn they send me the correct ones. Told it would take 5 days for redelivery. 5th day came no delivery....told they forgot to put them on the truck and that they changed my delivery date for that Friday. Asked why no one called customer service had no response. Claimed I could get compensation for my disservice after I received my bed rails. When merchandise received called for compensation. Told they would give me a $50 yes $50 gift card to their store!! Why would I want a gift card to a store that I just had poor service with?!! Customer service agent had no answer. Agent was confused about their financing bank and how I would be credited my money. Unable to give me any confirmation that the $50 would be taken off of my account instead of sending me a gift card. I will NEVER buy anything from Bob's again. How is a $50 gift card compensating someone who spent almost $4000 in your establishment?!! Ridiculous

I'm assuming the tech used a board to give a flat surface from which to measure the depth of the indentation. I've heard of a string and tape measure being used.

The tech should have told you how deep the hole was and how deep it had to be to be covered under the warranty. But yeah, perhaps 265# is too much for that particular mattress.

Terrible furniture handling and condescending customer care reps | Bobs Discount Furniture in Massachusetts

We purchased a lot of furniture while moving into a new place right after our wedding. We were just starting out and didn't even have a bed. They told us they didn't have a headboard available so we were promised a replacement headboard for two weeks after which were to receive our original headboard. The replacement headboard was never provided, without which the bed could not be assembled. We tried calling the customer care reps but they said we would have to go to the store and pick it up. A HEADBOARD in a small sized sedan !!! We decided to wait it out for two weeks. On the promised delivery date, the headboard did arrive - cracked into two pieces ! Again an hour after trying to contact them this horrible woman answers our call and starts parroting a line that goes something like "unfortunately blah blah blah". I could actually hear people GIGGLE in the background ! We asked how we could get compensated and were told in the form of store credit. I am not going to buy any more of this cheap stuff after an experience as horrible as this and am going to ask them to not charge us for the bed ! There was a lot more that went down like us asking them to deliver at a time convenient for us, when we were't at work ( what an unusual and inconvenient request) and they refused to agree ! I am still waiting for the headboard. Also, we purchased a coffee table set and the glass doesn't fit on the table. The scheduled date to fix it is in two weeks ! Why is it that the technicians are so busy ?! Food for thought.

After reading so many horror stories about Bob's, this is one furniture store I won't be buying from.

Just thinking about how many Bob's stores there are, the quality of their furniture can't be that good to supply all of them with well made furniture, just assembly made ***.

Buyer beware! You get what you pay for!!

Walked into the store, talked to an employee who brought me to just what I was looking for (a bed set) I asked him what was included, he said everything but the foot board. So, I assumed that meant the dresser, mirror, chest, night stand, and bed frame. To recap, I asked, everything but the foot board? He said yes. I said ok and went up to pay. total with delivery... $950. Set up a delivery date, and before you know it here it is. My boyfriend is here for the delivery, text me and tells me there is no frame. I call furious! I was on hold for 30 mins, then when i finally get to speak to someone all i get is "sorry, the frame wasn't included, but its $50". Really? so because your employee lead me to believe that it was included i made the purchase. Now, I have to come up with another $50 plus tax for a frame. No worries, I'll just sleep on the floor until pay day. Do yourself the favor and don't bother with them.

Delivery team did not assemble the bunk bed pro ply with broken ladder, missing bolts nuts and screws. resulting in broken bed rails and a safety hazard for the children. On 2 occasions they ode red the wrong repair parts. Then when I wanted(demand) a new bed they order the wrong bed. I demanded full refund with delivery charges. Got the run around as they are not sure when they can pick up the broken busted old/new bed. Buyer beware of Bob's. Poor workman ship of product and poor honoring of warranty and poor customer service. Shop elsewhere

BOB'S DISCOUNT FURNITURE IS A SCAM | Bobs Discount Furniture in Watertown, Massachusetts

Bob's sold me a damaged bed, and because it didn't actually fall till a year later they would not give me a new frame. I am pregnant, slept on the floor for a month with my 9year old while waiting for a tech to come look at what happened. Every day I called for an update I was kept on hold for 30min or longer, and the reps were very rude. When the tech finally showed up, he even confirmed that I was sold a cracked frame, and Bob still would not reimburse the frame. I am very disappointed at the blatant fraud they are committing in this store and will never buy from there again!!!

How could they tell a year later that the frame was cracked when you bought it? Is that even possible? Did you not look it over we delivered?
