I was not informed correctly about the services and feel I was told the information so I would buy the mattress and white glove delivery. It was the worst experience I've ever had and wasn't treated good when I went back to the store to get a different mattress. I was with my 7 year old son and he was getting hungry for dinner, my salesmen that was supposed to be helping me, left us waiting for an hour while he made a different sale, then was charged the wrong price again for delivery. I am still waiting for my new mattress and my old one to be taken back, I hope that it goes well, but I don't have high hopes

Buyer beware!

I have bought many pieces of furniture from Bob's including 3 mattresses. I purchased the goof proof on my Sofa sectional as well as.my Dining room table. The table I have had for 3 years and the couch 4 years. I placed a claim in 7 months ago for my chairs. The wood bars that hold the chair together kept coming loose and then finally snapped off, the cushion also lost its firmness in 2 of the chairs. I was.told.the goof proof covered such things when I purchased it however that was not the case when I placed the claim. Fast-forward to last week. I noticed a whole in my couch. Again told by the sales person that the goof proof covers accidents even if it was caused by a pet. We placed a claim and again not covered. Please tell.me exactly what they will cover because I can't seem to figure it out! Save your Money do not buy the goof proof!!! At this point I wouldn't even buy from Bob's since this is how they treat their loyal customers!!!!!te

Be aware of the goof proof scam they sell you

They did send out a technician in late November 2019 and he bypassed the electrical box and said there was no resilience to both loveseat and sofa, according to the report we received. He stated the table was recalled due to the same problem I have.

He ordered an electrical cord as if that's going to fix the recliner?

It's sunk in just a the one in the loveseat. The report came back stating there isn't any resilience on any of them

I purchased my living room set sofa and love seat in 2017 along with $300 area rug, also a round Coffee table with 4 storage bins that are part of the table To begin the table had a spinning top which I don't understand what was the purpose of it? The table came off the pole that held table coffee top broke off I mean like I said I didn't understand the purpose if it, then both the sofa and love seat are made of the worst material I can think of "the salesman at the time said it was leather and made of good product" we paid over $4000 for everything, I've been calling since last year telling them that the table coffee top broken off and that they couldn't do anything because it was out of warranty when we paid for 5yrs of the protection they push on you to purchase because if something happens to it, it can be fixed, not what they said! They said it was out of warranty and to call another company that they'll be able to fix it, it's been 2yrs and I'm still waiting. The sofa electrical part to the recliner is no longer working, so I called about that it's been since early 2018 that I've been calling, and they're telling me that it out of warranty when I called it wasn't, now it's 2yrs and I'm frustrated and along with that I have cancer and lupus which means I can't do anything on my own any more I have some assisting me. I've explained to them that I've been in and out of the hospital since 2017 since I've been diagnosed going through surgery, then radiation and finally chemo. Now I'm back on chemo because of the lupus and I can't be under this kind of stress and that's all they're giving me is so much grief that all I can do it cry because they're heartless and rude with me on the phone. I'm exhausted from these people giving me the run around about the furniture that doesn't hold its name when it's being sold on television or in store. I need help with this issue I have 2 young ladies 14,18 and I need to at least be able to sit with them and have some good times before anything else happens to me and all these people at Bobs Discount Furniture care about is getting money from people and not taking care of their problems with their cheap furniture that is supposed to be leather and the best wood and excellent quality as they state but I can't-no longer fight alone I need help can someone please give me advice as to how to handle this. The worse place ever

I had just a horrible experience I bought a mattress, box spring, and the frame it is not the one I checked out in the store within 3 days I called them told them i was waking hurting more with this 1500 bed then i did my old bed said it was hard as a rock it doesnt feel the same bed i picked out at the store they said it was new needed to be worked in blah blah they said give it 30 days and I could return it guess what called again because it was still hard as a rock and It was messing up my back it's not comfortable I hate it not happy with it I wasnt sleeping thru the night because I was uncomfortable all night because I felt like I was laying on the floor all that they had the nerve to tell me I had to do it before 30 days I said hold on I did already call and they said I had to wait and they said sorry you were told wrong information all this crap I was so mad so now I'm stuck with a 1500 bed that feels like I'm sleeping on the floor I hurt every morning and I got bed bugs from the box spring sadly didnt find out till a month later I had to get an bug guy come in and spray my house the bugs done made it to my daughter bed and everything asked them about my goof proof that my sales rep instead on keeping bed bugs out thats they only reason I paid 200 bucks for it cause I do live in apartments ya never kno but I havent ever had them yet till I got the bed and once I did find out I checked everywhere and they were inside the box spring the worse plus their homes but back to the good proof she tells me my sales rep should have never said that because they do not cover bed bugs because their beds dont have bugs ha your funny even my bug guy said that's where they came from he would even write me a statement they could careless I hate this place

Couch fell apart

couch was suppose to be leather, but it is disintegrating. the "leather" is just falling apart. the worse part is I never sat on the couch. I live alone and just bought it for when my sister would visit so she would have a place to sleep.

Not even a year and its cracked and fading. Goof proof doesn't cover and they dont treat this as a manufacture issue plus these sofas that I have the cushions never stay on they will not change even though my mom that has alzheimers has fallen off twice cushions and all and my then 3 year old has fallen hes 4 now. I have more than once called it in and had them fill put a fallen report and still they do not care well who ever calls the shots doesn't we can't blame those cust service taking calls and filling paper work it's not them w the bad judgment... but shame on the owner and executives taking this lightly. And this was guaranteed as genuine leather so they can't tell me o its bonded they claim that leather fades and or cracks and they do not have anything to clean with or fix I have had leather coats boots and etc they do not fade and or crack luke this but Bob's has their employees tell you that this does happen to leather but not even a tears time like really thers more photis jus taking so long to upload i will add more. Later if possible

My Bob’s Discount Adventure started on August 11th. Store Experience: My wife and I had been looking to purchase a few pieces of furniture for a while. We had checked all the main stream chain stores, and chosen Bob’s. My wife liked how the furniture looked, and I liked the prices. On August 11th, we walked to a branch to have a final look, and place our order. It was a nice experience; we were not bothered by the sale associates when we looked around the store, which is a big plus. We purchased 7 pieces, and were informed that all were available and in stock. First Delivery: Adventure started on the first delivery. A different type of coffee table was delivered, the delivery team realized it on the spot, and took it back right away. One of the end tables had a damaged drawer *** and the drawer in the other one was stuck and could not be pulled out. Finally, the server had a cracked stone top. To me, it looked like it was damaged before, and an effort to repair it was done poorly. I contacted the customer service, reported the issues, and a second delivery was scheduled for next week. Second Delivery: Correct coffee table was delivered. It had two broken door rollers, but I figured I can replace them myself. One of the end tables was replaced, and the other one was repaired. Another server was also delivered, but this one had a broken leg. Again, a poor effort had been made to fix it. They had tried to use a new screw to attach it, but the new screw had broken the leg in the middle, and damaged the bottom of the server so bad that we found the leg and several wood pieces on the floor. I called customer service again, and third delivery was scheduled for the following week. Third Delivery: Third time’s a charm? Not with Bob’s! Adventure continues. Instead of a server, they delivered an end table. I called customer service again, and fourth deliver was scheduled for the following week. Fourth Delivery: I have not had the pleasure of receiving the fourth delivery yet. Customer service called me, and postponed my delivery for two weeks. It’s out of stock. Reasoning: Bob’s has informed me that the problem lies with their vendors. You see, you pay Bob’s, but it’s their vendors that make the furniture and deliver. And Bob’s has no control over them. Bob’s is not responsible if vendors deliver damaged items, wrong items, or item is out of stock. I guess Bob’s is only responsible to take the money. Customer Service: It’s not too bad. On average, it takes about 30 minutes every time you call them. They are mostly nice (except the last one, who called me to say the delivery is postponed, and basically told me to shut up and not complain, this is the way it’s going to be). And online customer service is useless, after you spend half an hour with them, they tell you that you need to call them, they cannot do anything over the chat. Side Effects: There is the normal feeling of aggravation and helplessness. Our kitchen is a mess, everything scattered around tables, countertops, and chairs. My wife has missed 3 days of work to receive the deliveries, and I had to pay $50 delivery fee to my building every time, because they lay mats in the hallway and put covers in the elevator. It’s about $600 worth of financial damage so far. Conclusion: Don’t shop from a place that is not responsible for its products.

I purchased the Soho Smokey Ask bedroom with a King size bed. The space where the mattress rest is too wide 84 inches as opposed to the standard 80 that fits the 76 inches King Size Mattress. Bob Discount Furniture refused to exchange it because according to their rep, too wide is not a defect. Well try to lay down on a bed with a box spring and mattress that continuously slide side to side at your most little movement. Bob compromised and give me a 20% only on the price of the bed itself. I accepted, to keep my peace of mind... but not satisfied. Bob Furniture you lost my future business!

Same issue paid for ready served products that are malfunctioning and they won’t let me return it and it was less than 30 days ago. Took two days off because the delivery was incomplete the first day and now they are telling me that the only option I have is for them to send a tech and yup taking another day offer.

CHEAP FURNITURE

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment in the couch and loveseat I purchased in January 2017. We not only purchased that, we also purchased a dining room buffet that we loved. I have had no issues with the buffet, but the couch and loveseat are a disgrace. We were told by the first salesman that these faux leather couches hold up and the one we bought was one of the best sellers. With just buying a new house, financially it was practical to buy this type of furniture for our new home so we trusted Bob’s. Two years later it is falling apart. After a few months we noticed some things were not right with the couch, it was uncomfortable, the recliner parts didn’t close easily, one part of the couch was leaning and cushions were separating already. While I was still under my 1yr warranty I was told they would come out, so they did and said oh the cushions do this because of how you sit on the couch you shouldn’t sit near the middle, so he put his hand in the back and shifted the pad inside. That was my service. He took a look at the leaning potion of the couch and saw that it wasn’t clipped together in delivery, so he fixed that. That was that. The recliner parts were hard to get down but he said that was normal. A few months after our couch was starting to peel near the head of the right top of the couch and on the sides of where the recliners get pushed down. Exactly where I had the issue of them closing that was considered “normal”. I called and they said your one year is up we can’t help you with the peeling, you didn’t purchase the extended warranty and your manufacturing warranty period is over. Now first of all, regardless if I paid 100’s of dollars for your warranty, your product should not be falling apart in the first year of purchase. It is getting worse as time goes on, the bubbles in the brown vinyl are getting bigger and the tears on the corners are getting worse every time we open them. I have tried looking for vinyl repair in the color of the couch and I can’t, Bobs stated they don’t sell what I need to match their couches so we can fix it. The loveseat is hard as a rock in the middle and not comfortable at all. We paid $1500 on this set, Bob’s should stand behind their product and either credit me towards a purchase of another better one or issue me a full refund so I can have furniture in my living room. As stated above we just bought this home so financially we do not have the money to buy another set soon, nor should we have to. If you sell products this quality that will only impact the amount of customers who return to buy again and I have no problem sharing my experience just as many others have on the BBB. This has been the worst experience for my husband and I because we trusted Bobs for our new home, so this is my last ditch effort to make this right before I go to the BBB and social media with my complaints too. Never in my life have I experienced this, if you sell something, you should stand by it especially so soon after it was purchased, so I am hoping Bobs will make this right for my family right away. We purchased ours at the Rt 70 Cherry Hill NJ location.

NEVER BUY FROM BOB'S

I bought a couch, loveseat, recliner. Delivery was on time, I signed, they left. After an inspection, i found glue marks that won't come out, and the electric cord was pinched under recliner and it is off track. So using the recliner is not possible. Service person will be coming to "fix" soon.

I'm on my 3rd couch and 2nd power recliner. I am beyond disappointed and quite frankly outraged by the lack of quality and customer service provided by this company.

The service technicians and delivery guys have always been wonderful, but that's where the satisfaction ends! The first time I had an issue was the very first day our furniture was delivered. My husband sat down in the power recliner, reclined and it ripped in 2 places. That alone should have told me to cover everything up and sell it immediately but no, I didn't.

2 weeks later he went to get up from the couch and his elbow went through the arm. At first I blamed him. Poor man! I called CS and was told a technician would come out to fix the couch and see the chair.

Fine. He came out, did his best but the arm was still messed up. I called CS again. They said they would send a new one out.

I received the new couch everything was good until, a few weeks later when my elbow went through the arm. I was beyond angry! I called CS who said they would send another technician out. I said no, you're going to give me a new couch because this is the second time this has happened.

They insisted a technician had to come first, so I went to the store and was ready for a fight. The manager at the time, Jason was great! He researched the couch and found it had structural issues and I was not the first person who had to have it replaced just to have something else go wrong. He gave me a store credit and told me to pick a different couch, which was delivered the following week along with a new chair because by this time the chair was also falling apart.

So, brand new couch from a different line which doesn't match any of my other furniture and a new power recliner later, brings us to today. Today a technician came out because the motor came apart in the power recliner. The diagnosis, manufacturer issue. He advised CS that I have requested a new recliner and Alex at CS said that they will review and let me know by Wednesday or Thursday of next week via email.

Now who else finds that unacceptable!? So I asked for a confirmation number and he says they don't have confirmation numbers. Fine. I'll go to the store.

Went to the store spoke to a manager who was in no way helpful and said he couldn't do anything. Fine. I'll call CS and talk to a supervisor. I called CS, spoke to Jasmine who said she couldn't do anything and honestly acted like I should just be satisfied with waiting a week to see if they're going to replace my chair or not.

And the best part is the reviews team doesn't talk to anyone. You can email with them after they review your complaint, but you can't talk to them before hand or actually speak with them on the phone...

Poorly made products. Bought a couch because we were happy with a bed set and it was delivered broken. Not a problem, they chalked it up to delivery error. Now the same couch is broken in the same area less than a year later and they are claiming we broke it and sent it to their extended warranty department. Not to mention the couch cushions went flat after 2 months. Well not really. We had to call several days later for them to tell us it was our fault apparently. And we have to call it in and send photos of the breakage. They cant even do that for their customers. On top of that they cant get their deliveries straight. We kept getting calls that we were having furniture delivered (thinking they were sending us a new couch section) but no. They "made a mistake" and we arent getting anything. So now we play the waiting game for their "goof proof" warranty to see if they are going to fix this couch in our lifetime. Jokes on us I guess. They dont give a *** about you once you sign their paperwork. If something breaks then whatever... I was expecting things to fall apart after a few years but twice in less than a year is a new record for me. We'll be buying elsewhere from now on. We dont like buying overly expensive furniture because we like to change things up every few years but I guess we'll have to shell out more money for quality furniture in the future.
